2. MyLab Develops Low-Cost Testing

The Mylab PathoDetect COVID-19 Qualitative PCR kit is a forerunner in India’s fight against the Coronavirus in many ways. It is the first privately developed testing kit to receive a commercial sanction from the government. This development is a new high in Indian startups and the Indian medical sector, and it will go a long way in reducing costs for testing across the nation.
Till now, the government and related medical bodies had been importing testing kits from Germany, which incurred a much higher cost than any testing kits made in-country would have. 3. CoSara Diagnostics Gets COVID Test Kit License

An Ahmedabad startup named CoSara Diagnostics has partnered with Co-Diagnostics, a US-based health firm. It allows CoSara to develop a Coronavirus testing kit in India, and the Indian startup has already acquired a license for the same. According to CoSara’s executives, their efforts are made to mitigate the worsening COVID infection situation in India. At the same time, they hope to collaborate further with their partners and forward the Make in India initiative by the government.
